Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not.
i-5 Sports Group was built from decades of experience within professional football and a simple understanding of the industry.
Our journey began in football development, working directly with players and helping them improve, progress and understand what it takes to move forward within the game. Over time, our work expanded far beyond the training pitch.
We saw talented players who needed the right club opportunity. Players released from professional academies who suddenly had nowhere to turn. Young people looking towards the USA and unsure how to navigate the scholarship system. International players searching for genuine routes into UK and European football. Clubs looking for trusted recruitment support. Coaches wanting to develop their careers. Families trying to make important decisions in an industry they did not fully understand.
The common factor was clear. People needed pathways they could trust.

FROM FOOTBALL ACADEMY
TO
SPORTS GROUP
i-5 originally developed through football coaching, player development and academy programmes.
As our professional network grew, so did the opportunities we were able to provide.
Relationships developed with professional clubs, universities, academies, coaches, scouts, recruiters, scholarship specialists and organisations across the UK, Europe, USA and further afield.
What started as player development naturally became something much broader.
Today, i-5 Sports Group brings those relationships and services together under one organisation.
Our work now encompasses football development programmes, professional player recruitment and trial opportunities, USA university scholarship pathways, international football experiences, coach development, talent identification and bespoke opportunities created through our worldwide network.

We believe experience matters.
The people behind i-5 have experienced professional football as players, coaches, recruiters and business professionals.
We understand the highs of the game, but equally importantly, we understand its setbacks.
Selection. Rejection. Injury. Release. Recruitment. Contracts. Career changes. Moving countries.
Finding the right level. Knowing when an opportunity is genuine and when it is not.
That experience influences how we work with every player and family.
We do not believe everybody follows the same pathway, because football simply does not work that way.
Our responsibility is to understand the individual first, assess where they are now and help identify the most appropriate next step.

Every i-5 programme and service has been developed to solve a genuine problem we have encountered within football.
Our development programmes give players access to professional coaching and environments designed to help them progress.
Our recruitment network connects players with clubs, academies and opportunities appropriate to their ability and stage of development.
Our professional trial pathways use established football relationships to create genuine opportunities for selected players within professional and senior football environments.
Our USA scholarship service provides another route, allowing talented student-athletes to combine competitive football with higher education.
Our international programmes connect players with different football cultures, environments and opportunities across our growing global network.
Our coaching and development services help the people responsible for developing the next generation continue developing themselves.
These are not disconnected products.

Football can become consumed by results, statistics, contracts and the search for the next player.
We take a different approach.
Our philosophy is simple:
"We look after the person and the potential will look after itself."
Development means more than improving a player's technical ability.
Confidence matters. Education matters. Wellbeing matters. Character matters. Having somebody to turn to when football does not go according to plan matters.
That is particularly important for players who have been released, overlooked or simply developed at a different rate to others.
A setback should not automatically mean the end of the journey.
Sometimes it means finding a different route.

THE NEXT CHAPTER
The move from i-5 Football Academy to i-5 Sports Group represents where the organisation has arrived and where we intend to take it next.
We are building an organisation capable of supporting a person through multiple stages of their football journey.
A young player may first encounter i-5 through a development programme.
Later, they may require recruitment support, an international opportunity, a professional trial or a university scholarship.
One day, they may return to us for coach development or opportunities within the wider football industry.
The pathway can change.
Our responsibility does not.
We will continue creating credible opportunities, developing trusted partnerships and expanding our international network while maintaining the principles on which i-5 was built.
